Annual Meeting of the Swedish Atlantic Council, Member of ATA – 31 May 2024

The Swedish Atlantic Council, a member of the Atlantic Treaty Association, held its annual meeting on 31 May 2024. The event featured a keynote address by Vice Admiral Jonas Haggren, the Swedish Military Representative to the EU and NATO, who provided insightful perspectives on Sweden’s strategic roles within these alliances.

During the meeting, Ms. Annicka Engblom was reelected as Chair of the Swedish Atlantic Council, and Mr. Ludvig Filhm was reelected as Secretary General. The Council’s Board comprises senior and retired officers, military experts, politicians, and civil personnel from the Swedish Armed Forces and other state authorities, reflecting a diverse and experienced leadership dedicated to advancing Sweden’s role within NATO and the EU.
